Healthy You Challenge Week 17

I cant believe it is already time for the HYC again! It feels like the past week flew by. Work is insanely busy again for me so Im not surprised I am finding that so.

I am down a pound from where I was last week and hoping to be down more by the end of the week. In regards to exercise, I exercised twice which is definitely better than nothing. Not my usual 4 days, but any activity is better than no activity. This mono is kicking my butt and I feel exhausted today. I definitely dont feel as bad as I did the first time I had this thing, but its no picnic working long days feeling exhausted.

I mentioned some great NSVs the other day: compliments and not fitting into my summer clothes from last year. Its nice to still get excited about things once in a while because most days its just same old same old. I plan my meals, drink my water, avoid temptations (today was coffee cake and streudel from Panera Bread), and just hope my weighins go well. I like to have things to celebrate. For so long I had "mini" goals and now I find myself just looking at THE goal. I still am thinking I will lose beyond that, but right now, I just want to get there. Im hoping a month from now I can say, Im there! Which given my average the last few months, 3-4 pounds is about right.

I'm glad you're beginning to feel better, and congrats for overcoming the sweet temptations. Remember, "getting there" is not really the ultimate goal...It's forming healthy new habits along the way that will sustain you once you get there. But you knew that already, didn't you?

You can do this.

Sorry to read you and your beloved are ill with mono! That will drain you and I was surprised your were able to do 2 days of exercise.

Hope you begin to feel better quickly and congratulations on another pound gone.

I think working out twice when you're as tired as you get from mono is VERY good.

Congrats on the lost pound. You're getting SO close - I look forward to you joining me here in maintenance-land!

I would be proud of yourself for getting in the workouts while having mono; that's no small feat! Sounds like you are on the right track to reach THE goal. I'm sure you'll get there. Hope you get over that horrible mono.
