Still Going Up

Ok this is not funny anymore...I could see why I was up on Monday because I had overeaten on the weekend. But to be up even more today (granted it is just .2), I really dont get it. I am just getting further and further away from what I want. I dont see how after four days of eating well, I would be UP from when I was eating like crap. Anyone understand why our bodies do these things? I sure dont. I know Im not getting much exercise, but sticking to my healthy eating should at least have me maintaining. After all, I lost 50 pounds eating like this, why would I suddenly gain from eating like this? AHHH I SO dont need this right now.

Go pee. Weigh again.

If you're hitting a plateau, your body may need to change up your eating & shock your body. I'm not sure how exactly, but the show I watched last night where a girl went from 300lbs to 120lbs with diet & exercise only said she hit a plateau after losing to 180lbs & then hired a PT who recommended changing up her routine & diet a little to shock the body back into loss. It must of worked since she's at 120lbs & a size 4 now.

sodium intake could contribute to temporary weight gain. I honestly wouldn't worry too much about it, daily weight fluctuations of a few pounds happens to all of us.

ok. deep breath.
it could be water weight. it could be the addition of muscle. it could be that you need a sift in your workout no matter how tiny to keep your body confused and losing.
it could be a little change in your foods (not less---DIFFERENT perhaps!).

you know where to find me...

hehehe I was going to say exactly what Teale said :) It's only 0.2 ... could be fluid retention of some sort. Try not to stress!!

.2 on me could be gone by walking across the house, going pee.

I don't thing anything we say will help you-----------but if I could give you a hug I would and tell you to LOVE that hot body you have now. Stress is so bad for you. Breathe and smile! Remember how far you have come.

Hi Heather! I've been away from the blogosphere for so long - so I'm enjoying catching up with you. I'm so sorry you're having a hard time. My body holds on to social event food too. And job stress doesn't help matters either. I'm sending you good vibes, and I hope this weekend brings you some relaxation. You've worked so hard - I know it will come off. I'm going to be in Chicago in November - email me, I have a question for you!

It is just sooooo frustrating when our bodies don't behave logically. Hang in there. The great thing about you and one of the reasons you have been so successful is that you don't let the frustration give you a "f*** it!" attitude, you keep perservering and you see the right results in the end. And you will.

If we're voting, I'll go with the shake-it-up crowd. Do something completely different, preferably something fun. Dance, skip, get a hula hoop--anything to get moving and to start smiling. Life IS good, regardless of the scale results. :)

If you could solve this mystery, you'd be the richest woman in the world.

I have to agree with Cammy, you have to mix it up and keep your body guessing. I think it tries to get back to a "set point" and until you ingrain a new set point, you have to keep fighting these same pounds.

Like I've said before in my comments, my fluctuations tend to be much worse than yours, so I'm just not taking them too seriously anymore. 0.2 lb could be anything, the slightest extra salt in your food, or something to do with hormones, or whatever.
