Not so bad

My weighin today didnt go so bad at all..only a .4 gain. Am I happy its a gain? No, but I expected it and honestly the way I feel today, I would have thought it would be more. My pants are so tight and digging into my stomach which has expanded so much you would think I was a few months pregnant. Thats what steak will do to ya!

We had a wonderful dinner though and I enjoyed every bite of that delicious steak. I savored every bite with my glass of wine, and had wonderful conversation with my boyfriend. He got me a beautiful bouquet of flowers and tickets for next week's White Sox game which is going to be really fun. And I think he had a fantastic birthday!

Overall, the experience I had was worth the .4 gain . While I feel full and uncomfortable today still, I enjoyed every bite of my meal and just being out with my boyfriend. I plan on just eating lighter this weekend and hopefully when Monday rolls around, the steak will be long gone.

I think you made a good choice - and are still making a good choice.....enjoy your special meal with your special guy, take the slight gain with a smile, then eat lighter for a few days to compensate.

It is all part of learning to really live healthy.

I love the sentence of OVERALL THE EXPERIENCE WAS WORTH...

IMO life is too short not to live and there are plenty of ON TRACK DAYS to balance out the special occasions.

happy weekend!

Glad to hear you had a fun night, you have deserved it :-) I hope the bloating goes away fast. It's so funny, I have actually been noticing that my weight tends to go down when I eat red meat!?! Carbs (like pasta) and legumes, on the other hand, tend to bloat me and sit with me for longer... Hmmm, funny how everybody's body is so different.

.4 is really a great result after a fun evening out.
I think it's great how you constantly weigh and keep an eye on things. I have a habit or not looking at the scale after I get a bit out of hand.

Your such an encouragement. Thanks!
