About time

Fiiiinally....saw some movement on the scale in the right direction after over a week of sitting at 159. I just weighed in at 158.4 so I dropped .6. I will admit that I had hoped it would be more, but I definitely feel much better that I can finally have a loss again.

Unfortunately I have a feeling this will be short lived since I am going out to dinner tomorrow night. It is my boyfriend's birthday, and our 8 year anniversary together, so we are heading out to celebrate. I plan on eating on track, however the place we are going to has the BEST steak. I never eat steak except for when we go to this restaurant and I enjoy every bite. The bad side is that steak sits with me for days and "backs" things up if you know what I mean! So I already know Fridays weighin will be a bust.

I just hope I can figure out what is going on with my body. Again, Im glad Im down, but I have no idea why things are so slow moving for me lately. I wish I knew, but my body is still a mystery to me even after all this!

Yay for seeing that damn scale budge. Just curious have you evered tracked your changes with measurements?
You get a lean cut of steak...and you enjoy that bad boy. Have yourself some veggies with it because what steak house doesn't offer veggies. And then lets see...I'm not sure exactly how many calories you could burn...but I took a pole dancing class once and it's more of a workout than you think. LOL. hehe just trying to add some humour in there. I completely understand your worries about what the scale is gonna read but try to enjoy yourself!!!

Every time I hit the scale and see a loss much lower than expected (or hoped for) I just take a deep breath and think, "Well, at least it didn't go up!"

Sometimes that's only a very small consolation. But ya gotta take what you can get.

Happy Birthday for your boyfriend and Happy Anniversary!! I'm glad the scale moved :-)
Go and have the steak and don't freak out about it, it will go away at some point! Make load up on fiber during the day, before you actually go to the restaurant? I don't know, it might help...

because IMO it will be a bust if you let yourself think that.

visualize a fun meal tonight and the fact that WHAT?! the scale shows a LOSS on friday still!

Awww... don't worry about Friday's weigh-in. Just enjoy the celebration and don't go overboard. It will all balance out in the long run.

Happy Anniversary! Sometimes our bodies just need a rest from all the hard work of weight loss. I have read it has to do with the brain creating a new set point. You are doing great! Enjoy your yummy steak!
