I dont get it

Warning: This post contains whining!

I really dont get it...weighed in and Im the same. For a straight week now! Despite doing everything right (eating and exercise-wise), the scale is refusing to budge. TOM is o-v-e-r, so at this point, I got nothing.

I know, I know, I should be glad its a maintain and not a gain. But at the same time, its been way too long since Ive seen the 157s and Im getting frustrated at just sitting here at the same number. And yes, Ive been at this spot before and I got through it, so I know I can get through this again.

Its just rough right now. I feel helpless. I would love to up my exercise, but Im afraid thats not happening. Work is draining all my extra time, and its only going to get worse as a major project I am in charge of is launching in a few weeks and I have more work to do than one person can do in a day. Eating wise, according to LAWL, I shouldnt have to change my plan until I reach the 130s (which is not happening). So Im just going to stick with what I know and what has worked for me for the past 50 pounds, and hope it doesnt let me down now. I fear this is yet another plateau (this makes 3 major ones I hit down the road), and while I know I can get through it, I am more frustrated than ever.

So bare with me as I whine and complain until I can see this through. Anyone whose been in a plateau or sat at the same number for over a week can relate and its not an easy place to be.

I know, plateaus are so frustrating! When you do everything right and the scale shows a gain, it's hard not to get disappointed.

I do hope you see a lower number soon, but you know you're doing great, so try thinking about how amazing it is that you've lost 50 pounds, and don't think about the scale otherwise!... Maybe mixing the exercise up, like others suggested, will help. Or, remember when someone told you to add pears to your nutrition, how they help shed the extra water?? Just a thought...

You're already looking great, and it's not like you have a deadline to meet, and you absolutely have to lose those 9 pounds before that. What I tell myself is that the slower the weight loss, the least likely you are to regain the weight.

Good luck with the project at work!

maybe time to up the protein a bit, watch the carbs---especially in the evenings and make sure you are getting in enough healthy fat :) Change your scale ;)Just kidding!

You will get there. Don't lose hope now! You have done so much to get to this point, be happy for each day you have maintained!

Is it possible that your body just likes the weight that you are at right now? You do look amazing.. are the last 9 lbs THAT important to you? Because it seems to make you quite unhappy that the weight isn't budging, and I get that - it's very frustrating. Just a though :)

Does LAWL still do that weekends off plan? Maybe you could try that. Nothing like an on-plan twinkie to fix a plateau ;-)
I second upping the protein, if you're able to. If not, try a new protein source and try some new exercise. Try a belly dance class or rowing if you have a local rowing club.

Oh yeah, plateaus suck. I'm sorry you're not getting the scale to behave the way you want right now. Doesn't sound like anything you're doing though. And go easy on yourself, these things take time. You are so so so close to your goal!

I've been in a down-up-down-up cycle since the first week of September. All in all, over the last 7 weeks, I'm down 1.4 pounds. Ug! I'd give anything to have steady losses again...even if they were little ones! Hang in there...

I know it sucks but try to look at how far you've come and a maintain is always better than a gain.
