Doing Ok

So after my busy weekend of weddings and bridal showers, I think that I did ok. I weighed in and was only up .6. I actually was expecting much worse as I did drink more than I would have liked, and ate some things that were out of the norm for me. But I was pretty active all weekend, getting in exercise here and there, especially while helping to set up for the wedding reception (it was held at my boyfriend's parents house). I had to move chairs and tables and I was grabbing several at a time getting a good workout in my arms.
The bridal shower was nice as well, although I got WAY too many comments on my lack of engagement. To me, it is kind of a private matter about why my boyfriend and I havent gotten married yet. And yet so many people had to make comments about "oh youll be next", and "when will K propose?". Yes, 8 yrs is a long time to be with someone and not have a ring. But at the same time, I also like what we have. I like that we are both independent people who come together when we want to be together, and go apart when we want our individual time by ourselves or with friends. I love being with him, but also love coming home to my apartment by myself. If anything, the fact that we are still together after all this time and together because we want to be rather than because we are husband and wife, proves that when we do get married, it will be longlasting. Ok that was my mini rant..just irritated that so many people think that you can gauge love by a ring or marriage or that that is the most important thing.
And this marks the end of all the summertime events. Im sad on one hand because now I dont have much to look forward to and I know summer is coming to an end. But on the other hand, Im happy that now I can have some healthy eating weekends again. All things considering, I think I rocked this summer. In the last month I have taken two vacations, celebrated 4th of July, a camping trip, a wedding, a bridal shower, and a birthday party. And in the last month my weight has only fluctated between 158.4 as my lowest and 161.4 as my highest. So basically a 3 pound range. When I look at it that way, I have a lot to be proud of and I think it does show that you can attend all sorts of events and sure, you might see a gain here or there, but there are also losses and to keep your weight in check by a few pounds is completely attainable all while having fun.
Heres a quick few pics from the wedding:

You most certainly ARE doing okay! None of us will reach the magic number and sit there. We will naturally have fluctuations. Three pounds sounds like a good little range to rock around in. :)

Glad you had a good time at the wedding!

I also think you're doing great. You have such a great amount of stick-to-it-tive-ness! You really motivate me to do it. To stick to it and work through the down times.

The photos are lovely, you look wonderful.

Like Cammy said. Our body has fluctuations from day to day. Mine seem to be around 10 lbs...lol.

Beautiful pictures. You look phenomenal!

Hey chickie! Don't people just amaze you! It doesn't matter how happy you are in whatever situation you are in right now, they always push for the "next step".

If you are happy, who cares! You and your boyfriend have outlasted many marriaged already, so apparently you are doing something right!

I kinda have the same problem. I have been married for 6 years and all I ever hear is "Why haven;t you had a baby yet?" "When are you going to start a family" "What are you waiting for".... No consideration for privacy. Its crazy!

Anyways, you are doing so great!!! You look absolutely beautiful in your pics & its sounds like you had an amazing summer! =)

That's a nice picture of you and your BF. And if you're both happy the way your relationship is, who cares what other people think.
