Just what I needed

*sigh* I finally had a good loss today! I was down .8! I am finally seeing the 161s. Man it took a while. Perhaps all those pears and almonds are doing the trick. Or maybe the plateau is ended.

This is just what I needed though. I was getting so frustrated with the scale and Im glad to walk away from a weigh in feeling happy. Sure, I doubt I will lose that 1.2 by my birthday in a week, but I will be pretty damn close.

I also had a stressful day. Since last friday I have had these wierd teeny tiny bumps all over my bottom lip. They got worse a few nights ago and I have no idea what they are. Ive never had a cold sore before and wasnt sure if thats what this is, but these bumps never opened up or anything and from pictures Ive seen, this definitely doesnt look like that. So I went to this walk in clinic thing they have at Walgreens because it advertises that its fast so I thought, ok I will go on my lunch. Well an hour and a half later, I was finally seen by a doctor. Only then to tell me, that dermatological issues are harder to diagnose and that while it could be a cold sore that hasnt opened up yet, it could also be a burn, an allergic reaction, etc. So I still know nothing. I wasted 2 hours of working for that crap. Not stress I need and I still dont know what is going on. Any dermatologists out there?

Anyways, at least I can have one shining point of the day and that is seeing that "161".

I've wondered how good those walk-ins at the drugstores are. That's not much of an advertisement for them!
Glad you're finally seeing the loss you deserve.

Are they clear bumps? Sometimes when I drink oj or eat citrus foods or take vit C, I get little bumps on the inside of my lips.

Congratulations on breaking your plateau.

WOOHOO on reaching 161! ;)

Sounds like cold sores, I get them several times a year! Buy some Abreva and start applying it and they should dry up and go away within a week. Also applying an ice cube to it 5 times a day for at least 10 minutes each time, helps shorten the duration of the virus (cold sore).

I'm not sure what else it could be but that.

Have a great weekend! :)

Sounds like cod sores or an allergic reaction to something. If they're cold sores - you'll know soon enough. if they go away - probably the alergic thing.

Yay for you on 161!

Well done on the weight loss.

Sorry I don't know much dermalogical knowledge -- I would have thought minor little mouth ulcers possibly?

Best wishes with getting a diagnosis.

Congrats!

I cannot wait to get out of the 160's (as of this morning, only 2 to go, whoopee!)

Maybe you'll get a nice bday present of a good loss :)

Did the bumps have any sensation? If it was a sort of numbness or tingling they are likely cold sores. You'll get to the bottom of it though.

More importantly, yay again to you, on getting a good weigh in. You totally deserve it after the fight you've been having with the scale lately. It's great news, fingers crossed you've broken through that plateau. And you are really awesome for sticking it out for all those frustrating weeks. Hats off to you.
