Healthy You Challenge Week 12

well first, I just want to thank everyone for their kind comments yesterday. Yes, I realize that nothing I wrote about was the end of the world. trust me, I know that there is a lot worse that happens to much better people than myself. However, Im sure we have all had those days where everything sucks, and that was yesterday for me! I got a lot of it sorted out, at least the things that could be helped, and others, I will just have to accept and move on.

With that said, I am totally rejoicing that I made it to 40 pounds lost!! It doesnt really feel real, but I am definitely happy. I cant believe that I only have 7 pounds to lose. And here I was a week ago worrying that I was stuck!

I definitely stuck to healthy eating over the weekend, and exercised 3 times last week! I was trying for four, but after my horrendous day yesterday, that did not happen. But I did pilates, cardio, and weights. A mixture of just about everything and I believe that is what helped me drop such a large amount this past week (2.6!).

I also went shopping over the weekend at nonplus size stores! Very exciting. Sure I could shop at some places in the past that had both plus size and regular sizes, or stores that sold bigger sizes, but to walk into a place like Express and fit in the clothes there was a big eye opener. I still looked at the clothes there and thought, no way I can fit in this. But I would. I guess I still dont SEE how I look or how much weight I have lost.

I tried a new meal this past week too that I will have to post later in the week because it was pretty yummy. I know trying new meals on a weekly basis helps me stay interested in food and enjoying what I am eating.

Plan for the coming week is to just focus on my eating this weekend (since it is Easter and will be attending 2 easter parties) and getting that exercise in.

Oh, such a special week! You're so close to your goal now. Congratulations especially for the exercise. I know it's not your favorite way to spend time, and that makes it all the greater achievement!

Wow, 40 lbs, you've done great and don't sweat the 1 lb, that's probably just water. :0)

I can't wait until I can shop in a normal store, what a thrill that must have been.

Oh yea and I looked at your goals in the sidebar, and I think you have very healthy goals for yourself.

Good luck!

WOW, I know that life keeps handing you crap but the fact that you've learned to deal with the crap without turning to food speaks volumes! Don't stress the pound, as you said TOM throws everything a curve. Hang in there!
