Healthy You Challenge Week 10

Well I am afraid that this is probably the worst week I have had so far on this HYC.

As I wrote yesterday, I am up from Friday, and since this time for the challenge last week, I am up .8. It is discouraging because I feel like I am just going up and down, up and down, and never getting anywhere.

Some of it is my fault. I ate some things I shouldnt have on Friday. I also did not exercise at all this past week. Apparently it is an all or nothing kind of thing, and this week it was nothing. Not something I am proud of, but its what happened. Until this big project at work is over, I have been working 12 hour days every day and come home, eat, and go to bed. Last weekend I was busy and chose to relax over working out.

However, last week, I did see the 160s for a brief moment, and that was a great feeling. I know I will see them again, and Im glad that I made it into the same decade as my goal!

12 hour days!! Omgosh I dont think I could do it. I wouldnt worry about it. You are doing great!! So you had a "iffy" time of it lately but that doesnt mean you are down for the count. Tomorrow is a whole new day!! Face forward and keep trying!! You will see those 160's again in no time!

Have a great one!

Great attitude! You may not be dropping pounds left and right, but you know you're headed in the right direction for the long term.
Hang in there, and have a great week!

You have the right attitude - we just have to keep on. I know you're going to reach your goals - and as cheesy as it sounds, remember that you're adopting new habits for life, and that you're learning what you body does with certain foods. You are totally going to get there, and it will be solid. I've been feeling frustrated too, since I've gone up the past two weeks too. We're on it this week!

It's so hard when you are within 10 pounds or so of your goal and the weight loss slows down dramatically. It's disappointing, I know, but it is only a very small gain. And you are under considerable stress with having to work long hours. I admire your determination.

It sounds like you have a great outlook on weightloss. Your are loosing but not letting it control your life! Your so close to your goal, how exciting. I seen the 160s once and it was glorious!!

Unfortunately we get out of it what we put into it! I try to remember that all the little indiscretions add up by the end of the week, but it is hard!

Stick in there and it will happen.

Don't let the scale get you too much. There are many things that casue a pound or 2 to come and go. It's the overall pattern tha really counts. Of course if you know you've been slding - look at wher and how. You need to cut back on your work and get some sleep girl!

Just keep on keeping on. YOU are in control!

Hang in there. Your excuses aren't excuses--it is real life getting in the way. And it happens. And you will have these ups and downs and then things will get better. So keep on keepin' on. You'll have better digits before you know it!

I think a one pound or less gain is in the maintenance category. So with the hectic schedule you are in "maintenance". This is a very good thing. Better than gaining say 15 pounds . . . ahem (like a grumpy someone).

You will definitely see the 160's soon.

I think you are doing great.

.8 is not that bad- trust me!! At least it wasn't 8!! I've had weeks where I gained 8 pounds in a WEEK! crazy I know. Stay focused- you'll see 160s soon!

I know its hard to keep from getting discouraged but you went through this before where you had a few weeks of nothing then you started dropping again. Perhaps your body needs a bit of time to adjust.

Of course working long hours, I always found I retained water. I know you won't give up. You've come so far and you've committed to a healthy lifestyle. You will see those 160's again and the 150's too!
