TGI Fridays...on Saturday

I had a good moment last night while dining with my boyfriend at TGI Fridays. Normally when we go there, I would have had at least 2 margaritas, some type of appetizer (wings, mozzarella sticks), blackened chicken alfredo, and the Brownie Obsession for dessert.

Instead, this is what I had: 1 bite of a wing, 1 glass of wine (and 3 glasses of water), chicken, vegetables.

The reason I am writing this post is because I actually really enjoyed this dinner. Normally I always got the same thing, every time we went there. I commented to my boyfriend half way through my dinner that it was actually really good, and I never would have discovered this because I was always opting for the diet UNfriendly dish of blackened chicken alfredo which I assumed would taste better than anything else.

I am also pretty proud of myself because Kevin ordered the SAMPLER of appetizers. Why did he do this, I dont know. But I sat there and watched him eat like 6 wings (I had one), 6 mozzarella sticks, and 4 potato skins. Disgusting if you ask me! Yes the man can eat like that and still manage to be skinny and muscular, but thinking of how much fried food he ingested kind of grossed me out, and I actually was glad I didnt have any.

So it was a good night out. Now I am just surviving the first day of Take Off (see post below).

Heather that is awesome! You made better choices and still enjoyed your food and wine. I am proud of you :)
We are going to do this. It will become a habit for us soon, and if we keep making better choices the weight WILL come off!

I think that's great that you made good decisions at the restaurant! I'm amazed at how good some of the lighter choices actually taste!
