This is why I get frustrated

Up to 160 - this is why I get frustrated. Ive been eating right all week, have actually gotten back into the habit of exercising (2 days so far), and my weight goes up? Exercise + good food should equal weight loss. Not gain. This is so irritating. I have nothing else to report except for my irritation and frustration.

The scale is stupid and often doesn't know what it is saying. Keep up the good work and eventually the scale will catch on.

Read this. It's called "Why the Scale Lies".

I'm sorry you're frustrated!

The problem with being at or near maintenance level is that it takes so much more effort to move the scale downward. I'm sure your scale will bounce down when you're able to get in more exercise!

The article NewMe posted is really great! The explanations it gives are why I don't live and die by the scale. Although I still get pouty over it from time to time. :)

have a great holiday weekend!

Arrrgh! I just went and read that article, and it made a lot of sense. What if you only weigh yourself on a monthly basis? Also, I find that I am heavier after exercise, because of increased blood flow in the muscles - they are expanding. If you build up muscle, you'll also burn more calories, but it takes longer than a few days. Even with all that logic, I STILL get frustrated myself as well. So here's hoping you see a better number soon!

If only the scale would play nice. You know it's a total bully & wants you to just quit. But don't you dare. Keep at it. You can beat that b!tch into submission. You'll get there!

I get frustrated sometimes, too! I think we all do. And, I actually read a great post about frustration today! Here it is: http://www.fittothefinish.com/blog/2009/09/frustration-friend-or-foe/

It really helped me, and it will probably help you, too. :)

I guess I should have read this before my rant, I think we have so much in common from our age, height, start weight, goal weight, and most of all, sadly, frustrations. Thanks for the nice comment! :-)
