the past week

It has been one week since I posted, but it feels much longer than that! I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving - I know I did. I had a great visit with my parents, got some good deals on Black Friday, and was able to get back to Chicago yesterday before the huge snowstorm we got hit.

Unfortunately I am up 2.4. I guess I really thought I would be able to pull off Thanksgiving and Cheesecake Factory again without a gain. In all honesty, I think I did really well. Especially with Thanksgiving dinner ...I was full after a few bites of all my favorites, and didnt have seconds of anything. I also did well at the Cheesecake Factory, although I did have a few bites of cheesecake to celebrate my brother's birthday. I think my gain has a lot to do with the fact that while I ate well, a lot of the things I eat are not nonfat, lowfat, sugar free, etc. For example, if I eat peanut butter, I will eat natural peanut butter. If I have a sandwich, I use whole wheat bread. My parents dont carry a lot of those types of foods, so while I can eat what I normally eat, I am ingesting a lot of things I dont normally ingest. Add that to no exercise (unless you count the mall!), and TOM, and you have a 2.4 gain.

Really, Im not too upset. I know by Friday I will be down again. Sure, two pounds is a lot of work, but its great that I know it will come off because I dont normally eat like that.

Today was nightmarish - we got about 6 inches of snow last night and my commute to work was horrible. First, I was locked out of my car and apartment because my car door froze with my keys inside. I had to wait an hour for the maintenance man to let me in to my apartment to grab my spare car key. It took me 2 hours to get to work, where I arrived about 2 hours late. I then spilled coffee all over my desk. What a great start to the day. I hate snow and living in Chicago this time of the year!

Most of it will definitely come off. I really doubt you ate 8000+ calories over maintenance since you didn't overeat on and around Thanksgiving. Glad you had a good trip :).

Wow... I'm glad we're still having nice fall weather *knock on wood* But being in Utah that could change any second.

Thanks for the encouragement :) 2.4 is nothing... it'll be gone in no time.

I think if you can try to maintain or close to it around the holidays, that is a victory right there ;)

We haven't had a big snow yet but KS ones can get pretty bad too! I bet that was awful!
