Update and Healthy You Challenge Week 30

Well unfortunately last Friday was too good to be true as I am back up to 161. I am SHOCKED again, but in a bad way. To have gained almost 2 pounds is almost unfathomable to me. I did have pizza while at the racetrack on Saturday, and apparently that is the culprit. I certainly hope it is as I really dont see any reason why I would be up so much.

I am also weighing in for the challenge since I am leaving for vacation on Wednesday, and will likely be busy tomorrow packing, etc. after work to write a proper entry. I am actually up .4 from where I was last week (and last week I was swollen and had TOM), so I am definitely not happy. I have only gotten in 2 days of exercise as well. I planned on exercise today, but I got home at 8 and as I have much to do (eat dinner, start packing, dishes, bills, etc.), I had to put exercise on hold. Not the best thing to do, and definitely not a habit I plan on keeping, but thats life sometimes.

Well Im visiting my parents for about the next week so I wont be blogging or probably visiting many blogs while I am gone. I plan on just continuing to eat healthy and get in exercise where I can. Hopefully I return and at least maintain a weight at 160 or below (preferably!!). All I know is, Ill do my best!

pizza will do it eery time. It's not that you actually gained 2 pounds - but the salt in the pizza (the sauce, the cheese, the pepperoni) all make you retain water. Remember - 2 pounds is 7000calories! Unless you ate 4 whole pizzas - you're okay!

Good luck with maintenance. In a lot of ways, it's harder than losing weight.

Focus on having a wonderful trip. In the grand scheme of it all you will remember for ever the trip you are taking, you will forget in due time what ever the scale says when you get back.

LIVE LIFE! The rest will take care of its self!

Have a SUPER trip!

I am sure the gain is NOTHING! Its not like you ate 2 pounds worth of pizza! =) But I am the same way. If I eat off track, it stays with me for a couple days, but it will level off. You are one of the first people to always tell me that! =)

Have a great trip! Enjoy yourself. I like what Felicia said. Its so true!! =)

I hope you have a nice visit with your parents! Try not to think too much about the two extra pounds, you know they will go away very soon :-) I know it's annoying, but 2 pounds up - 2 pounds down is normal fluctuation for me...

I know you annoyed by those 2 pounds but really, I'm sure they'll come off super easy. It sounds like it's just kinda that normal water wieght/fluctuation thing that drives us all mad.

Have a lovely visit with the parents.

Pizza and Chinese foods are killer for water retention (the carbs adn salt and stuff).

But fluctuating 3-5 pounds is actually pretty normal. It's considered "maintenance" to stay within a five pound fluctuating range.

We need to remember that when we see small ups and down. It's not always that there's a huge misstep.

Cut yourself slack, move again, and you'll be fine. :)

Enjoy your time off.
Don't fret the weight gain - it's probably just a body flux.

Love the fresh new colors of your blog!

Thanks for all your support and comments - you're the best.

What everyone else said on the 2 pounds...it's normal, will go away, you have to expect fluctuations like that. I can go up 4 pounds in one weekend, easy. Then it will be gone in a few days.

Hope you have a lovely visit with the 'rents.

Enjoy the visit with your parents.

I wouldn't worry about the slight gain, you know your weight can fluctuate as much as five pounds depending on water retention, salt, etc. etc.
