Expected

Well it was to be expected...I weighed in .2 up (159.6). However, I expected it as I had half of a cheeseburger yesterday. Red meat tends to stick with me for a few days so I expect that is what is happening now.

My boyfriend and I went to a cookout and I was hoping for some grilled chicken or something, but nope, only burgers. I had a large salad and some fruit, and then half a burger. It tasted good, but I really dislike eating red meat sometimes because of how it clogs things up. Im not really looking forward to the coming weekend either in terms of food, because I am sure its more of the same. Hopefully at the 2 parties I will be attending this weekend, there will be some other choices than just red meat.

Its also kind of interesting that the .2 doesnt really bother me, because Im still under 160! While I certainly want to get to 150, I dont feel as pressured because I met my goal and feel great. A fluctuation of .2 isnt much and I know why its there. Normally a gain would bother me, but its ok!

Maybe bring some chicken kabobs along with you or something? But seriously, a fluctuaction of .2 is pretty much maintaining! Good job!

You're doing great! I'm still trying to figure out what each food does to my weight/body, but I haven't gotten very far; my weight's behavior is erratic at best these days :-) A .2 lb fluctuation is nothing, especially since you know the culprit.

Doing great Heather!!I'd love to see a before/after pic :)

I consider any weight change in the decimal range, +8 to -.8 to be maintaining. Of course, I am happier "maintaining" with a -.8

But I bet you could have guessed that :)

Hey, you're still under 160! It's so hard to maintain.

I finally got to 159 this past week and am so happy. I hope that I can maintain this week because the cravings (tom is here) have been pretty bad, YIKES!

Yay! It must feel really good to be firmly in the 150s. Good for you. As for parties, is it an option for you to bring something and make sure it is something you can eat? That's what I tend to do when I am worried about the food options. It's usually easier for barbecues than "finger food" parties too.

Hey, those tiny fluctuations happen, and it sounds like you have a great attitude!

that's a great mindset to have. .2 is not much of a gain at all and you know why it's there so you know it should be gone soon, too.

hope you luck out and get some chicken choices in those weekend plans. i "heart" chicken and try to have it 2-3 times a week.
