Cutting off the pounds

Happily I am down .2! Again, not much, but when I think that added with the other .2 I lost, it makes .4 and thats not so bad. Sure I stepped on and hoped to see a 1 in back of that 6, but oh well.

I cut another few inches off my hair today. It looks pretty cute! I will have to take a picture some time this weekend and post it. Sad because I almost think that is where the .2 came from.

I am going to have to watch myself this weekend. There will be lots of drinking and partying and I will need to just keep an eye on what I am eating. Hopefully I can get some bike riding in, however they are calling for some rain most of the weekend. At this point in the game, Im in no position to eat whatever I want because I know it will affect me. Im no longer in the wonderful phase where you can screw up and yet all is forgiven on the scale. If I even look at a cookie I am up on the scale.

I got a comment on my blog to host ads. Im not sure how I feel about it. Sure I am a 25 yr old with tons of student loans and could use the extra cash, but at the same time, I like this blog to just be about me and my weight loss. sometimes on others blogs its distracting to see ads for things, or one time, I saw an ad for a weight loss drug on someone's blog and it just seemed so against what that person believed. I would hate to have an ad for something on here that was not a product that I beleive in. So most likely I pass this opportunity by.

Everyone have a great Memorial day weekend!

There is a finer line between gaining and losing once you are close to your ideal weight...gotta be so much more careful. But, then again, isn't that a good sign that you are closer to where you want to be?
I've been approached about the ads and mentioning products on my blog and I feel the same way you do. I want my message...no matter what it is...to be pure and not skewed by someone who is offering me something in return.
Have a good weekend, Heather!

I'll tell you, I have ads on my blog, and am making next to nothing on them. You have to have a LOT of hits on your blog, and you have to have the right ads. Sometimes the ads you choose are substituted, and then you end up with some stuff you wouldn't use yourself. It used to upset me a lot that I'd see diet pills on my site, but then I also realized that people are smart enough NOT to go for that stuff, but they can click on the good stuff if they want it.

You don't have to change your message to get ads, and you don't have to write certain things to get them. Your writing is your own and "pure" regardless of what the advertisers are doing.

There is some advertising I DON'T do, and that's limited my income (after a year of advertising on 4 blogs I've made $7.52, not a terribly impressive amount) But it occurs to me in another year at the rate I'm going I'll meet the Google threshold and get a check for $100. While day to day it doesn't seem worthwhile, on the day I get that check it certainly will be.

Congrats on the loss...it is coming off slowly but you are heading in the right direction!

I hope your weekend isn't a total washout and you get to go bike riding.

I got the same e-mail about advertising and I think it may be some sort of scam.

Enjoy your weekend and try not to look at the cookies :)

If you want to put ads on your blog, I'd go with BlogHer Ads, you can check them out my side bar. They are fair and legitimate.

I get a lot of junk comments and email from spammers who want you to do "sponsored posts" meaning they tell you what to blog about...no thank you.

Anyhow, hope you have a great weekend, I know you'll stay strong!!

You're still consistently losing! Don't you think it's time for a new photo, especially since you had a haircut?

Enjoy your long weekend!

I thought about the ads when I got an email about it, but haven't yet taken that jump. Cuz seriously my checks wouldn't even put a gallon of gas in my tank or milk in the fridge.

You are doing awesome and can't wait to see the new pictures!
