Looking Great in 2008 Week 29

Ugh...I am not happy with this weighin. For some reason I am up .4 from Monday..168.2! This is not the direction I want to be headed in, nor do I have any explanation for this. TOM is over, I havent eaten anything that I shouldnt have, and other than Monday night, I havent eaten out in a while. It could be my dinner out on Monday, but I doubt that some chicken and broccoli would really cause me to be up.

I am just frustrated that I am going the wrong way. I really wanted to be at 166 this week, and now I will be lucky to be back down to 167 by Friday. Kind of ironic that I seem to have gained more AFTER TOM than before/during as I usually do.

Thankfully for this challenge, I can still say that I am down 0.2, which is better than having to report a gain. Its just not where I want to be, and I know that people say it gets harder and harder the closer you get to goal, but to see a gain all week...I am just not pleased at all.

I'm right there with ya. Only my gain is much more. And I DID eat things I shouldn't have! :-P Here's to a better week next week!

You'll get there. You are doing all the right things and the weight loss will slow the less you have to lose.

I love the new picture. You look absolutely beautiful.

Thanks for your comment and good advice. I'm just so frustrated right now and seeing success like yours gives me strength to keep trying and not give up.

Please don't think I am being all preachy..but maybe a little break from the scale would help?If I weighed daily I would become obsessed...I am trying to weigh 1 or 2 x a week..maybe more water? Also, you are just so close to goal..I imagine (since I haven't ever been close to goal) that it's pretty tough when you are so close. You have great eating/ behavor habits and willpower..and have lost sooooo much..so focus on that. :)

It definitely does get harder when you get closer to the goal, but you really are doing well. And weight fluctuates, so little amounts of weight change, especially within a pound, are going to happen. You will get there though!

Hope I didn't tick you off with my suggestion. Never any harm meant..I am so sensitive..the scale is bound to mess with my emotions..and noone around my house wants to see that. :)

I can understand that you'd be annoyed! Hope you have a better weigh-in next week...

I think you shouldn't worry about a little gain like that. Numbers fluctuate so much in the span of a few days.

I've learned to stop looking at the scale because of this. I mean really, one day I was down 1 then up 2 the next!

BTW, you're gorgeous! Great new pic.

Try not to stress about this. Remember: the scale is evil and fickle and doesn't give us the results when we deserve them!

Trust yourself, NOT the scale. Trust that you did everything right. The loss will show up eventually - probably when you least expect it.

PS - Scale Junkie tagged me, too. :-)
