Back to reality

I wish that the weekend could have lasted forever, but I went back to work yesterday and Im already stressed out again! Luckily I have happy thoughts and look down at my ring any time I am in a bad mood because of a client or a project. Everyone at my work was so excited yesterday and people kept coming up to my desk to congratulate me. I went to a concert last night with my best friend (Yeah Yeah Yeah's concert which was awesome!) and asked her to be my matron of honor. Already I am so overwhelmed with questions about dates, money, things to do,etc. Thankfully we are thinking of Oct. 2010 because I want a fall wedding, so we do have some time. Any wedding planning advice is welcome because I will need it! I guess for the next year or so this will be a diet/wedding blog! Although I do need to tone up and get ready to look fabulous in a wedding dress, so I have my work cut out for me.

Weight is at 158.4 which was disapointing, but I did eat a burger on Monday (or half of one) so I know that usually the red meat affects me for a few days. I actually did really well this weekend. I did have a few beers on Friday night in celebration of the Blackhawks winning, then the wedding on Saturday ended up being really healthy so no worries about anything I consumed there. Sunday I was on track, and Monday I was so excited about being engaged and talking to everyone at the party that I didnt eat very much either. I guess being distracted by something so exciting doesnt make you want to linger around the snacks. Thats one way to avoid them! So I know my weight is up but know it will be back down and I didnt do any serious damage this weekend.

Ahhhhhhhhh I got married in October toooooooooo. 14th October 2001.

I lost 3 stone that year and did look amazing in my dress.

I can tell you that losing weight for a wedding is THE BEST motivation you can ever ever ever have.

I have been busy putting the weight back on ever since - oh dear.

When I started my weight loss blog I was 13.5 stone (and I am 14 stone now).......

God only knows what happened to the New Year's resolution and we in May now.......

Anyway, I am here for wedding guidance whenever you need me

I can possibly offer assistance on the fitness stuff, but no clue on the wedding stuff. All of my knowledge there comes from watching 'Whose Wedding Is It Anyway?' or 'Bridezilla'. LOL

You are going to have so much fun! My best advice is to remember that it is your day - do what means most to you and your fiance - and spend money on a great photographer - after that party, the ring and the photos are the only tangible things you have left! And - duuude - maybe your weight is up a little now because of your ring! :)

Wow! We don't see long engagements like that in Utah. People usually get married within a couple of months :) Weddings are so much fun to plan! I'm so excited for you to get to do all that fun stuff!
